Sam Johns is a recent graduate of Manhattan School of Music and has been acting his entire life. He hails from Seattle, Washington and earned a name for himself there through local youth-run theater groups; he was one of the founding executive members of Black Tie Productions as an actor, set designer, and stage fight choreographer.
His roots lie in non-musical works, most recently as Dr. Carelli in Agatha Christie's Black Coffee, Jamie in The Retreat from Moscow, and Cyril in Monarch's Row, (available to watch on Youtube), but is thrilled to have performed in roles such as Jimmy Winters from Nice Work if You Can Get It, Morris Cohen in Fiorelo!, and most recently as Sweeney Todd in Manhattan School of Music’s Sweeney Todd.
Acting has, and always will be, his passion, and profession. He considers himself lucky to be able to work in the industry, but understands what will be asked of him; he prides himself on his professionalism, and punctuality. Outside of theater, he has a love for drawing, painting, going on long walks, and introducing new people to tabletop games!
